Xperia X10 makes it to List of Most Sold Phones in 2010 Holiday Season

The Xperia X10 added yet another distinction to its increasing popularity by being one of the most sold phones for the 2010 holiday season. The report which came from Wirefly, the U.S. leading cell phone online store, showed that Android phones led in holiday shopping sales with the X10 becoming the 6th most sold model. It is apparent from the report that more people are now confident in choosing the Android platform over the rival iPhone.

Wirefly predicted that the trend for the coming year is for consumers to buy more Android based smartphones that are contract free. This means that brands that are not quite established yet in the United States would be able to compete aggressively with their affordable and prepaid smartphones.

The Xperia X10 is the first Android phone from Sony Ericsson and was released last March 2010. Its key features include its huge screen, fast processor and the ability to upgrade the OS with the latest android version.  It is solidly built with a matte finish that resists fingerprints. Owners have access to the hundreds of thousands of apps located at the Android Marketplace making this a highly customizable smartphone.
