Following on from the Xperia Ion announcement at CES this year, which gave details of the handset being a US only release, Sony later announced at MWC that the Xperia Ion would in fact be released outside of the US. We’ve seen the Ion listed for pre-order in the UK already, although there has been no official confirmation from Sony themselves. Sony have however officially announced that the Xperia Ion will be available in Taiwan.
The handset will go on sale at the end of the month through Taiwan Mobile. They have given a sim free price of NT$19,900 (£425).
