Sony Ericsson have announced the launch of two of their flagship mobile phones, the ‘all rounder’ Xperia Ray and the ‘sports oriented’ Xperia Active, on the Indian mobile market.
Both phones use Android 2.3 as their operating system and use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 2 processor. Where as the Xperia Ray is more of an all round solid performer, similar to the mighty Xperia Arc but, with a 3.3 inch screen and boasting a quality 8.1 mp camera, the Xperia Active is an all out sports phone full of sports apps including iMapMyFitness, a 3 inch screen and a 5mp camera.
“the unique proposition of our phones is strengthened by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S2 processor that ensures that users run multiple apps smoothly and do more than one thing on-the-go.” – P Balaji of SE India
Both handsets should receive the recently announced 2.3.4 update to the Android operating system, or may even come preinstalled with it for the Indian Market.
