The Sony Ericsson Xperia Hot Shots contest has been going on for a couple of months now, with several ‘world class’ female tennis players competing in a variety of entertaining tasks to try and win the final place on the sponsored Sony Ericsson Xperia Hot Shots team.The end has come however and a winner has emerged.
Sony Ericsson have announced today, through fellow tennis pro and Sony Ericsson ambassador Maria Sharapova, that the winner of the the Hot Shots contest is world number 5 seed German tennis professional Sabine Lisicki.
“Being an Xperia Hot Shot has been the best thing that’s ever happened to me! My highlight of the campaign has got to be meeting David Guetta. I can’t thank all of my fans and Sony Ericsson enough for their amazing support throughout the whole campaign – I wouldn’t be here without them!” Sabine Lisicki
Over the course of the 6 month competition, the contestants, consisting of Lisicki, Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Heather Watson , Alize Cornet , Sorana Cirstea and Dominika Cibulkova, have taken place in tasks and trials such as playing tennis in the sky against Gary Lineker and DJ’ing with David Guetta in an attempt to impress fans enough to vote for them and choose them to take the last place in the current Hot Shots team. The winner, as part of the team will receive a sponsorship from Sony Ericsson worth €100,000.
