One of the three Xperia models that were revealed during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is going to be exclusively carried by Telstra in Australia. The Xperia Neo is headed over to Telstra and the mobile company is quite happy about this.
Although the Xperia Neo does not bring with it the buzz that the Xperia Play brings with it, this model is a solid Android phone that should please a lot of subscribers of Telstra. Although no specific date was mentioned and what the pricing scheme will be, Telstra promises that they will announce this information as soon as the release date of this model draws near.
The Xperia Neo will already be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread straight out of the box which should make many Xperia fans happy since they know how Sony Ericsson usually delays the upgrading of their Android software. With Gingerbread installed, users will be using the updated version of Android on their smartphone.
Its screen size measures 3.7 inches and comes with a Reality Display using a Mobile Bravia Engine to create vivid colors on your screen. A I GHz snapdragon processor is being used which provides a lag free operation when you open menus and browse through the different functions of the smartphone.
If you are in Australia and you want to buy an Android smartphone then try to wait for the Xperia Neo that will be carried by Telstra soon.
