It’s not unusual for us to see a tear down of the latest gadget and is normally done by iFixIt. On this occasion, while iFixIt may still do a tear down themselves, Sony have beat them to it this time. Yes, that’s right. Sony have performed their own tear down of the latest tablet entry, the Xperia Tablet S and have shared the results.
In the tear down, we can see the different components, ports and peripherals used inside of the tablet, such as memory, motherboard, LCD ribbons etc. In the tear down video, the Xperia Tablet S is also compared to last years Sony Tablet S and shows us how things have changed and been upgraded. Of course, Sony haven’t shared the cost of the different components like iFixIt do, so we don’t know how much the £329 tablet actually cost Sony to build.
