Root made available for Xperia Arc S

The guys over at XDA-Developers have found a way to root the recently released Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S, which is an updated version to the Xperia Arc which Sony Ericsson released earlier this year, back in April. The Arc S comes with a 1.4GHz processor and those looking to root the handset will have to unlock the bootloader. You can find the full instructions on how to unlock your bootloader and then root your Xperia Arc S on the thread at XDA-Developers here.

Hopefully another root method will become available soon, that allows Xperia Arc S handsets with locked bootloaders to be unlocked. Handsets that are network locked are, unfortunately not compatible with Sony Ericsson’s boot loader unlocking tools.
