With Google Android 2.1 finally released on Sony Ericsson’s line of Xperia handsets, albeit not everywhere yet, it should be safe for the company to now release a device that requires Android 2.x to run. While not released yet, the LiveView app for the Sony Ericsson LiveView Mini Remote has appeared on the market place.
Despite being released under Sony Ericsson, you do not need an Xperia handset to run use LiveView. Any Android powered phone with Android 2.0 and above will work with Sony Ericsson LiveView. Your handset will also need to feature Bluetooth to connect to the device. The LiveView app is free to download and has already amassed 1000-5000 downloads, which is sure to shoot up even more once the LiveView Bluetooth accessory becomes available.
