Xperia X2 dropped by Vodafone

While Play.com may have the Xperia X2 up for pre-order, Vodafone UK, as we previously reported no longer have the page for the X2 and now we know why. An internal email has been sent round, informing staff that the company will not be selling the handset. Vodafone were to be the exclusive carrier for the handset but, this later turned out to only be initially, with other networks following. Some are reporting that O2, who were rumoured to receive the handset after launch, will continue with the sale of the handset. Unfortunately however, there’s no official word from O2 confirming this, so UK consumers may have to get this sim free, or from elsewhere if O2 fall through as well.
