Three handsets to be announced by Sony Ericsson

Rumors are flying around at the moment that Sony Ericsson are about to make an announcement of three new handsets, as soon as this week. Two of the handsets there’s a few details about, where as the third handset nothing is known of it.

The first handset rumoured to be announced this week is the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mango which is said to be the successor to the X10 Mini Pro, as it features a slide out keyboard while being mini in form. The screen is rumored to be larger than the Mini Pro though, coming in at around 3 inches. Likewise, the second handset the Sony Ericsson Xperia Smultron is also said to feature a 3 inch display. The Smultron will not feature a slide out keyboard, so is tipped to be the successor to the Mini Pro.

Other rumors suggest that both handsets will come with a 1GHz processor and Android 2.3.3. There are no rumored specifications for the third handset, although there is a lot of speculation about what the third handset could be, ranging from it being a dual core handset, or a Windows Phone 7 powered phone.

I’m hoping Rogers Canada gets the Pro version… I want a smaller phone, with a keyboard… not many Android phones with keyboards anymore. I’d take the X8 (as it’s larger than the Mini Pro) but I can’t find that one either! Come on Rogers… get us some phone options!

More handsets? I’m still waiting for the Xperia Pro.
    Impatiently, I might add.
