TeleNav, One of the leading Android providers for GPS navigation, has just updated their TeleNav GPS Navigator application to version 6.2. One of the first models to get this update is the Xperia X10, Motorola Backflip, Samsung Captivate and HTC Aria on the AT&T network and will soon be available to other Android mobile phones.
The update introduced many changes to the application making it more user friendly and intuitive.
Here’s a list of some of the major changes in version 6.2
- Multiple Route Suggestions: You are now provided with up to 3 alternate routes to your destination with an estimated travel time to reach it.
- Quick Search: You can now easily search for an address, business name or landmark using the new predictive search technology
- Speech Recognition: With just a touch of a button you can activate the speech recognition which has an expanded feature over the previous version.
- Expanded POI: More points of interest were added to the database ( as much as 22 million establishments, landmarks, locations, etc.)
TeleNav GPS Navigator 6.22 is currently available in the Android Marketplace and is compatible for smartphones with Android 2.1 and above.
