The Xperia Arc isn’t even out yet but, the system files have made their way over to XDA-Developers, enabling you to load the home launcher of the Xperia Arc on to your Xperia X10 handset. You can either download the full set of system files from XDA-Developers here, or downloaded the home launcher apk and a couple of other useful apks in a much smaller zip file here.

It seems that the Xperia X10 may never get its Android 2.1 upgrade for AT&T users. The model was released last year by the mobile network running on Android 1.6; however they promised that an update would soon follow. That promise might not see the light of day as the company no longer sells brand new Xperia X10 models.

Best Buy is having a “White Hot” sale which started last January 28 and ends this January 29.  The sale aims to let customers upgrade their gadgets easily without spending lots of cash. A lot of electronic stuff is included in the sale such as HDTV’s, Digital SLR cameras, Laptops and of course smartphones.

Those of you who are into technical stuff should be pleased to hear the news that the Xperia X10 now has an all in one flashtool.  This new flashtool can be used to easily hack into your unit and root it. You might be wondering why a person would want to hack into a perfectly good Xperia X10, right? Basically this is one way of gaining complete control over your device and installing a new Android version (Android 2.1).

It was recently announced that the Xperia X10 won’t be upgraded to Android 2.2 even if Sony Ericsson has the Xperia Arc running in Android 2.3. The reason for this was explained recently by Nathan Vautier, a representative of Sony Ericsson for UK and Ireland.
