The deal is available through Carphone Warehouse online or in store. The contract is with Vodafone for 24 months and your £20.50 a month gives you 100 Minutes, 500 texts and 250MB of data. Which while it isn’t a huge allowance any any front, if you’re a light user and Vodafone is your preferential network, this is a great deal.

If the allowance isn’t up to scratch though and you’re happy to not be with Vodafone, Tesco Phone shop also have a great deal on the Sony Xperia S. For £1 a month more, with O2 you can get 200 minutes with unlimited texts and 500MB data. Of course, with it being O2, you can always drop the data allowance down to 100MB, saving £3 a month, bringing the total monthly contract price down to £18.50. Alternatively, if you’re a heavy data user, O2 also offer a 1GB data allowance for £10 a month, making the total cost £25.50 a month. This deal isn’t available though O2 directly and may only be available through the Tesco phone shop website, rather than in store.

There’s been quite a few price drops on Sony Ericsson handsets lately and here’s another one that’s just come through. While this handset isn’t new, it is refurbished and sold by a trustable UK online retailer. Mobiles.co.uk state that the refurbished handsets are units that have been returned under their 7 day returns policy and have been fully tested and inspected and also come with a full 12 month warranty.

Mobiles are selling refurbished Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini’s for £49.90 on O2, Vodafone and Orange. A £10 top up is required however, taking the overall price for £59.90 with free delivery. Which ever network you choose though, the phone will be unlocked.

The Xperia X10 Mini still retails for other £100 new at other retailers and even with a smaller screen size than the Xperia X8, which we’ve recently seen drop in price, the X10 Mini does have a substantially better camera. The X10 Mini is equipped with a 5 megapixel camera and has flash.

This is last years X10 Mini model, so will not be updated past Android 2.1 which, should be on the phone already. The X10 Mini has removable back covers but, Mobiles say that refurbished handsets might not come with all the accessories, in this case the other replacement back covers. Replacement backs are available on eBay though so you can pick the color of your choice. Another thing to note about this handset, is unlike the other Xperia handsets and the majority of other phones on the market, the X10 Mini does not have a removable battery.

Sony Ericsson’s updated version to their flagship phone of 2011, the Xperia Arc S has now been released in the UK. A little later than expected but, here none the less. The handset is available through Clove who received stock of the handset on Friday but, began shipping orders today.

Vodafone also have the handset available on a 24 month contract. Vodafone are offering the handset free when taking out a £31 a month plan, which gives you 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of mobile data. UK retailer Carphone Warehouse is also reported to have stock of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S in stores now.

Vodafone and Sony Ericsson have confirmed that the Xperia Ray handset is definitely due to be released in Australia on September 28th.

Details regarding Sony’s video rental service being available out of the box with the Xperia Ray in Australia have also emerged including news that Australian companies Hopscotch and Madman will add their distributable movies to the list of movies already available on the service. Music Unlimited, Sony’s own music downloads service will also be available on the Ray in Australia and both services will come pre installed on the handset giving access to over 10 million music tracks and almost 9000 movies to rent or to buy via the Xperia Ray. There are two packages available on the music service – the basic plan at AU$4.99 monthly or the premium plan at AU$12.99 monthly.

As for pricing of the Xperia Ray, zdnet have posted that the handset should be available for AU$5 a month on the AU$29 or AU$45 a month Vodafone contracts or for free on the AU$49 cap or AU$65 a month Infinite contract. Vodafone are yet to confirm this information.

Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Ray recently went on sale in the UK through online retailers. The handset is now available through Vodafone on contract.

You can pick up the handset for free on a 24 month plan with 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB data which has a monthly cost of £26. The Xperia Ray is also free on 18 month contracts although the monthly cost is slightly more. On a 18 month contract you get the same amount of minutes, data and texts but, with a monthly cost of £31 which over the course of the contract works out to be a lower price than the 24 month option.

Other retailers, such as Expansys are still awaiting stock and expect phones to be shipped on 23rd September with a slightly lower price of £294.99.

The Xperia Ray features many of the great features found on the Xperia Arc but, in a more compact package with a 3.3 inch display.

Vodafone have not put any date indication on the website or any pricing information. For those who have waited patiently for the Neo to be released in the UK, you can provide some details to Vodafone – namely an email address – and they will contact you to let you know when the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo is available to order and possibly what sort of mobile phone contract deals will be available with the phone.

While neither handset can be ordered online and is unlikely to be available in store, stores like Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U, which deal with all networks have had the stock in and are able to sell the handsets on the networks. Not only will you get your nice shiny handset now instead of waiting, the Xperia handsets in stock through these companies, tend to be unlocked and unbranded, meaning not only do you get a handset without the network specific software on it, when Sony Ericsson release a software update for the handset, there will be no waiting for the network to also approve the update before releasing is, which was an issue with the Xperia X10, Sony Ericsson’s first Android powered handset.

For those anticipating the release of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, one thing which hasn’t been clear is how much the handset will cost and for those who purchase their handsets on contract, how much the contract will be, to get the handset for free, or minimal cost any way. Mobiles.co.uk have answered this query, as they now have the X10′s successor, the Xperia Arc up for pre-order along with tariff information.

The handset is available with Vodafone, Orange and O2 via Mobiles. We already know however, that both T-Mobile and Three will be stocking the Arc, so presumably their tariff information will be available soon. If you were to take a £25 a month contract, the handset would set you back £90, where as taking the £30 a month contract will bag you the handset for free. Both of those tariffs are subject to a 24 month contract. On the £30 per month contract, lasting 18 months you will need to pay £20 for the handset. On Vodafone any way. With Orange, the £30 a month contract will make the handset a whopping £110. Though if going in for the £25 a month contract for 24 months, the handset is only £30 with Orange, instead of the £90 with Vodafone. Mobiles.co.uk are also stocking the silver Xperia Arc, something that we haven’t seen from other retailers in the UK. MWC isn’t even here yet and there’s more news regarding the Xperia Play from Sony Ericsson. O2 UK have confirmed via a Tweet that the network will be selling the upcoming gaming Android handset, the Xperia Play when it launches in the UK. Vodafone have also confirmed to TechRadar that they will also be releasing the handset on their network. When or how much it will cost though, is currently unknown.

Also, despite being revealed during the Super Bowl yesterday, official specifications of the handset are still unknown however they likely won’t differ too much from the leaked specifications we’ve seen previously. That is something Sony Ericsson may be keeping to themselves until MWC.
