The Android 2.1 update has been available in the UK for a little while now for unbranded handsets, while network branded handsets have had to wait. Most notable O2 users, who have in the past also had issues with O2 releasing updates and the Android 2.1 update is no different, for O2 UK anyway.

In the UK, Orange are continuing to offer exclusive versions of the Xperia X10 range. Previously we’ve seen Orange offer the X10 up in white, the only network in UK to offer the X10 in the UK. Later on they they also gained exclusive seller rights to the lime green Xperia X10 Mini. The latest exclusive offering from Orange comes in the form of the fashion edition X10 Mini.

Orange are once again, serving up an X10 model on the Orange network in an exclusive color. This time round, the X10 Mini will be available in Lime Green from Orange only. The handset is also free on the majority of the tariffs. All contracts last 24 months and the handset is available for free on the Dolphin 15 contract, which is only £15 a month. For that you only get 50 minutes but, you get Orange internet and unlimited texts. Or the £20 a month contract doubles your minutes. The handset is also free on Racoon 20 and Canary 20. Where as the £15 a month equivalents of these tariffs, the X10 Mini will set you back £49.99.

In the UK, the Xperia X10 has been released on T-Mobile. It’s available for free on a £35 a month contract, with the contract lasting 24 months. You can order the handset from T-Mobile but, they note it can take up to 10 days for it to be delivered.
Orange will also be stocking the handset but, they list the X10 as coming soon. Both Orange and T-Mobile will be offering the black version of the handset. While if you’re after the white model, it will be an Orange exclusive. There’s no information on tariff pricing for Orange but, it’s very likely to be the same.
