For those who can’t make it to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week, or more importantly Sony’s press conference which will take place on Sunday 26th, you can join the press conference Live via their Facebook page. The event information is available through the former Sony Ericsson Facebook page which has now been renamed Sony Mobile.

We heard a few days ago that Sony Ericsson would have an announcement for us today, Sunday February 13th. The event has now taken place and was viewable through Facebook. What did Sony Ericsson have in store? Three new Xperia handsets is what. We’ve already seen a lot about the Xperia Play, even before the Super Bowl commercial. However a few more details were given today.

Finally, after getting lots of exposure from Chinese websites, the Xperia Play is being reviewed by a U.S. gadget site. The guys over at Engadget have gotten hold of a test unit and gave the unit a spin.
