OK, so the Xperia X10 may be old news now and will not have any further Android updates above 2.3.3. However, Rogers have the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 on a rather tempting price plan.

Rogers are offering the Xperia X10 for $25.50 a month when taking out a twelve month contract with them. Minimum pricing is $32.35 a month. To put that in perspective, the Xperia Arc is available on a one year contract but, the actual handset will cost $499.99 and $449.99 if you go with a two year contract.

Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Active is due to be released in the UK at the end of the month and it shouldn’t be too long until the handset is available in North America as well. The Xperia Active has made it’s way on to the FCC site complete with photos of the handset. The documents include external photos of the handset, as well as internal pictures of the Xperia Active. Officially, Rogers Canada will begin selling two of Sony Ericsson’s new Xperia handsets from April 28th. However 5 selected Sony Style stores in the Toronto area will have a total of 60 Xperia Arcs and Xperia Plays available. You will need an exclusive pre-sale pass to get in on this deal.

The handsets will be available at the following Sony Style stores tomorrow: Toronto Eaton Centre, Yorkdale Shopping Centre, Sony Centre, Smart Centres Leaside and Sherway Gardens.

We already know that two of Sony Ericsson’s next major players, the Xperia Arc and Xperia Play are both headed to the Canadian network, Rogers. Now both handsets have appeared on the Rogers website, both listed as coming soon. Neither handset has a specific release date apart from coming soon. You can register you interest in the handsets though and be notified when they become available to order. The listings also show you the specifications for each handset.

We heard last week that the update for Xperia X10 handsets locked to Rogers should come sometime during the week of November 8th. While it wasn’t as soon as we hoped it would be, the update has indeed been released this week.

So, if you’ve got an Xperia X10, or X10 Mini on Rogers, you should now be able to update your handset to Android 2.1.
