While we’ve been posting as quickly as possible which regions the Android 2.1 update has been posted to, some users in those countries with unbranded handsets still haven’t been able to update. Sony Ericsson have provided a list of all the kit numbers that have been released for the X10, X10 Mini and X10 Mini Pro. So if you’re handset has one of the numbers below, the update should be available to you.

Following on from the release of Google Android 2.1 in the UK, it appears that Canada will be next to receive the update. A tipster has sent a tip in to Mobile Syrup informing them that Rogers customers who own the Xperia X10 will get an update from November 8th. Sony Ericsson Canada have also confirmed via Twitter that Canadian Xperia X10 owners will get the update this month, although not as specific and instead left it at ‘some time during the month’. The update will also apply to the X10 Mini and X10 Mini Pro.

Unfortunately the Android 2.1 update for the Xperia X10 range has still not been released in the UK despite the update being available for four days in other regions. Sony Ericsson previously claimed that the UK would receive the update before the end of October, which when the Sony Ericsson Product Blog announced that the Android 2.1 would be released on October 31st to the Norwegian market, many assumed that the UK would also get the update at the same time, or at the very latest, the next day as more “kits” were promised to be released the following day.

Earlier on we heard that users of SEUS Pro were able to upgrade their Xperia X10 handsets to Android 2.1. We can now confirm that Norwegian handsets are now receiving the update. Several forum members of XDA-Developers have confirmed that the update is showing and is available to download. This update applies to the full size Xperia X10 as well as it’s mini counterparts, the X10 Mini and Mini Pro. Still no update for the UK or anywhere else as of yet though.
