At the Google event yesterday in San Francisco, Google officially unveiled Android 4.3 which brings in a couple of new changes, namely the ability to restrict app access on a per account basis, as well as support for Bluetooth Smart/Low Energy which is great for owners of smart watches, as it allows you to remain connected to the device but, uses a low amount of energy.
Shortly afterwards, Sony posted a list of the devices that they will be releasing Android 4.3 for. They are: Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia SP as well as the Xperia Tablet Z. Not only that but, Sony also said they would look at older devices on Android 4.1 and see if they were eligible for Android 4.3. In the mean time, owners of the Xperia Tablet Z and Xperia ZR, Sony have confirmed that prior to the release of Android 4.3, they will release Android 4.2 in August.
