I recently bought a new Sony Xperia X10 without knowing that it uses the old version of Android 1.6. I am hoping that Sony Ericsson will upgrade its Xperia X10 to Android 2.2 and enabled the multitouch. I believe that upgrading Xperia X10 to Android 2.2 and enabling the multitouch will satisfy many Xperia X10 users, and may encourage them to love Sony Ericsson for future products. So please Sony ericsson upgrade your Xperia X10 to Android 2.2.

Waiting patiently and getting frustrated that Android has not been updated. if this is Sorted out soon. I will get rid of this Handset. And go to another mobile phone firm.

I’d like to know for sure now whether 2.2 is coming or not. I can still get a different phone, but I have about a week before I’m locked in. Also, will better firmware improve battery life?

The petition on the OFFICIAL sony ericsson sync website has now forced se to change the 2.2 topic to UNDER REVIEW. This dosent meen it is planned but it is a big encouragment to all us x10 holders. Also multi touch is now under review although NOT for mini or mini pro, only the full x10i. Hope this helps and for more info just visit sony ericsson sync and its the feedback bar on the left side.

2.2 pls …. or at least give us root access as devs are struggling with this ….
I dont understand why SE would give outdated FW on new phone .. AND go out of their way to make it the most securely locked-down fone on the market …. we’ve PAID for your plastic P.O.S … whats it to you what we do with it?
Last 6 phones have been SE … NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
