Sony Xperia T available at Phones 4 U now Thu, 06 Sep 2012 17:07:16 +0000 Yesterday was slightly disappointing. We heard that the Carphone Warehouse would be releasing the Sony Xperia T and Sony Xperia J but, neither handset was released by the UK retailer and the Xperia T release was suggested to have been pushed back to the end of September. Fortunately another UK retailer has come to the rescue.

Phones 4 U very briefly had the Sony Xperia T up for pre-order with a release date of September 26th but, Sony’s next flagship Android smartphone has gone on sale already through the retailer. Currently the Sony Xperia T is available through Orange or O2 on a 24 month mobile contract starting at £28.50 a month with Orange or £36 on O2. The Orange Panther 36 contract is actually also supposed to be £36 a month but, there is a £7.50 monthly discount on it. For your money as well as picking up the Xperia T for free, you will get 600 minutes and 3000 texts with Orange, as well as 1GB of data, while O2 offers unlimited minutes and texts, with 1GB of Data.

The first 250 orders through the Phones 4 U website for the Xperia T will receive a Sony Smartwatch which retails for £99.

Xperia T a no show in the UK Thu, 06 Sep 2012 00:33:54 +0000 Only a couple of days ago we heard UK retailer the Carphone Warehouse would be stocking the Sony Xperia T from as early as September 5th. We also heard that the company would also be releasing the Sony Xperia J at the same time.

However, September 5th has now come and gone and the Sony Xperia T is still showing as coming soon on their website, while the Xperia J is not listed on their website at all. Considering that when Sony announced the Xperia J they said it wouldn’t be released until Q4 this news isn’t all that surprising although still disappointing. The Sony Xperia T being released today however, was a very real possibility. We are now hearing that the next Sony Xperia flagship mobile device will go on sale at the end of the month. At which point, we should find out what mobile contract deals are available for the handset, as well as the pay as you go cost.
