Folks in the land of Japan have been next in line to receive the Android 2.1 update for the Xperia X10 handsets. The NTT Docomo website has been recently updated, advising users how to upgrade their Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 phones from Android 1.6 to Android 2.1.
As we already know, the update can’t be performed over the air (OTA) and instead has to be performed via a PC, either using PC Companion, or the Sony Ericsson Update Service. For those who don’t have a PC, or aren’t that confident in performing the update, Docomo stores will perform the update for you.
