Android 2.1 rolled out for Indian and Australian X10 handsets

While Canadian Xperia X10 owners are yet to still see Android 2.1, owners of the Xperia X10, X10 Mini and X10 Mini Pro can rejoice in Australia and India. The Android 2.1 update has been rolled out in both countries for unbranded handsets. The news comes from both the Sony Ericsson India Facebook fan page, as well as the Sony Ericsson Australia Facebook page.
For branded handsets, they note that there will be an additional wait for your network provider to also approve the handset. This is the case in many other regions as well. Hopefully it shouldn’t be too long of a wait though.
