Android 2.1 is rootable on X10

For those of you who have already upgraded to Android 2.1, or perhaps have been holding off on confirmation of the newer Android OS being rootable on the X10, there’s good news. Several members of the XDA Developers have been able to root their Xperia X10 handsets running Android 2.1. Which also means if you’ve gone ahead and rooted your handset to edit the default.prop file to upgrade, you can now edit the values back, which others are reportedly doing.
The SuperOneClick Android root is the root process X10 users are using and confirm work. So if you’ve not upgraded yet for lack of a rooting option, you can now upgrade and once again, remove any Sony Ericsson installed apps you don’t want, such as Moxier, or install root only applications, such as Titanium back up.
